Sara is a new member of the Omni family, recently joining the adult supported living program after residing at a developmental center for the last 30 years. This year, she was able to go on a vacation with her family for the first time.
Her parents took her to Mesquite, TX to attend a rodeo and Sara obviously enjoyed her trip! She was observed smiling and laughing most of the time and really enjoyed eating out at the restaurants. She even helped others clean their plates! Her favorite part of the rodeo was when the ladies rode around the arena on horseback to visit the audience. Luckily, Sara and her family had front row seats so she was up close and personal with the horses and riders.
A member of Sara’s direct care team accompanied her on the trip. According to her parents, the trip would not have been possible without the additional support required to meet her specific needs.
