Foster Care Services for Children and Youth

Every child has a right to be a member of a healthy and supportive family. Therapeutic Foster Care is a home-based program for children who need intensive support, supervision, and personal intervention. Children served by Omni Visions are in state custody due to abuse, neglect, unruly, or delinquent behaviors, extensive medical issues or significant behavioral and emotional needs.

Omni Visions’ primary focus is to support the family in overcoming barriers that prohibit both the child's development and the ongoing operation of a positive family system. Counseling and intervention services are based on understanding how each family functions, recognizing that each is unique, which may require different professional and para-professionals to provide support services, i.e. psychological counseling, behavior management support, crisis intervention, respite care, foster parents, tutoring, transportation support, mentoring and friends.

A child or family may require all or any of these services. In addition, education is a process through which growth and development occur. Omni Visions utilizes this process to help people change: acquiring skills, developing new beliefs and values, becoming individuals that are contributing members of society.

A Resource Coordinator whose caseload is limited to 5-8 families supports every foster family. These Resource Coordinators partner with the family to develop support services such as in-home counseling, mentoring, tutoring, and respite.  They are on call and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, when assistance, support, direction, and advocacy are needed.
