Every child or every adult deserves the right to live with a family, regardless of the degrees of disability. Individuals have the greatest potential to grow and develop in a home setting.
Children and adults with special needs should have the opportunity to live with people who will be life-time members of their world—either their birth or kinship family or adoptive family or caretaker.
Only through the development of a positive value system will we make a long-term, positive impact in someone's life. We are not satisfied with controlling behavior, we are challenged with the task of creating proactive, productive members of the community who have strong, well-defined benefits. |
