provides complete support to the child and the adoptive family, from initial contract through the approval process and post-adoption. This exceptional level of commitment results in more successful adoptions and families.
Adoption Services are provided by Omni Visions' personnel who are responsible for recruiting and training prospective adoption families, matching children with families, completing home studies, pre-placement documents, subsidy agreements and coordinate legal support services. Omni Visions can also coordinate required post-adoption services. Training and home study approval is provided at no cost to families.
Once approved, resource coordinators begin the process of matching children to families available for placement. Staff works with adoptive families to determine the type of child the adoptive family can best parent. Once a good match is found, Omni Visions is responsible for preparing both the child and the family for adoption and for the provision of placement and post adoption support services.
Omni Visions understands the difficulty that some children present as we are challenged to provide them with an adoptive home. Yet, each child's unique characteristics are not identified as barriers that require permanency goals to be changed. The responsibility to provide each child true permanency is constant. We do not alter a child's right to be a member of a long-term family based upon his skills, aptitude, emotional level, color, race or age. Our responsibility remains steadfast and focused.
Because of this commitment we have been successful at assisting a wide variety of children to enjoy adoptive homes. We have successfully found adoptive homes for sibling groups, for children who are bi-racial, for children who are medically fragile, for children with mental retardation, and for children who continue to suffer the effects of the previous dysfunctional life. We cannot guarantee a precise timeline for finding and completing and adoptive home for each child. But we are willing to, and eager to, accept any child as a referral into our adoptive services program.
